How to Clean Your Vape Tank Like a Pro

Whether you're new to e-cigs or a seasoned vaper, the choice of e-juice flavors is amazing. Here's how to clean a vape tank to get the most from each flavor.

Looking to clean your vape tank?

Any responsible owner of a vape knows that cleaning the tank is an essential duty. A dirty tank will affect the function of your machine and also leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Luckily, you don't have to experience any of that. In this post, we'll explain how to properly clean your vape tank.

Empty the Vape Tank

The first step you'll need to take is the most intuitive: empty the tank.

Depending on your device, that could be done in a few ways. For some, you should unhinge the bottom base over a wastebasket to let any liquid or smut escape. Others have the same open valve near the top of the vape.

Make sure the tank is emptied of anything apart from what originally came with the vape. Then it's time to take it apart.

Deconstruct Things

Once you've removed the residue of previous vape hits, you should take apart the tank. It's a simple enough task for most tanks.

Regardless of your tank, how it's held together should be apparent to the naked eye. You likely only need to remove a few screws before the structure comes apart.

Study how it's pieced together before you take it apart. That way, when you've finished the cleaning, you'll be able to quickly put things back together.

Now that you have it open, it's time to whip up a cleaning solution.

Sanitize the Tank

There are many ways you can create solutions to eliminate germs in your vape tank.

One of the more common methods is to use vinegar. With the addition of lemon and water, you'll have a liquid that will effectively clean the inside of your tank without damaging the material. Of course, if you have a similarly effective idea, go ahead and try it.

One important note: When you wipe down your tank, you'll be introducing a chemical that doesn't blend well with your average vape hit. Make sure you've thoroughly removed all residue of the cleaning liquid before using the vape again.

When to Clean

How often you should clean depends on your regular usage. Vaping in general is on the rise, which means you're likely using your vape a lot.

Inhaling a hundred times a day demands a weekly cleaning. If it's less than that, you may choose to clean less often. Just don't let too much build-up linger inside the tank.

Clean for Your Own Good

Cleaning your vape tank will help create an optimized vaping experience for you.

Like brushing your teeth, cleaning your tank should be part of your normal routine. Like clean teeth, a clean tank will produce better results for you in the end.
